My name is Jeff Hartung Jr., I am a USCG licensed Captain and a Texas Parks and Wildlife licensed fishing guide. I grew up fishing along the South Texas Gulf Coast, and have become very familiar with the area waters and fish species. I became a fishing guide to pass along my knowledge, experience and skills to others who enjoy fishing. I have been fishing the Lower Laguna Madre exclusively for many years targeting Redfish, Speckled Trout and Flounder with fishing offshore for Kingfish, Redsnapper & Ling. I also specialize in targeting Tarpon around the jetties and along the beach of South Padre.

I fish out of a 22' Blue Wave Super Tunnel with a 200hp Mercury Optimax ProXS which will run in less than 12 inches of water making it ideal for fishing redfish on the flats of the Lower Laguna Madre. It is also suited to venture into the Gulf of Mexico to fish for Tarpon, Kingfish and Sharks for anyone adventurous enough to seek out the monsters of the deep. It provides a very smooth and dry ride even in the biggest bay chop and handles offshore swells with ease.
